Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: August 1, 2026

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the West Valley Women Veterans website, programs, events, forms, communications, and related services.

“WVWV,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to West Valley Women Veterans. “You” and “your” refer to website visitors, members, event participants, volunteers, donors, partners, and other individuals who interact with WVWV.

By accessing this website, submitting a form, registering for an event, making a donation, or participating in a WVWV activity, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the website.

1. About West Valley Women Veterans
West Valley Women Veterans is a community-focused organization serving women veterans throughout the Greater Phoenix area and communities across Arizona.

WVWV creates opportunities for connection, continued service, education, leadership, recognition, wellness, shared experiences, and community engagement.

WVWV welcomes participants, volunteers, partners, and supporters of all backgrounds, while our mission, programs, and services remain centered on the experiences and needs of women veterans.

2. Membership Eligibility
WVWV membership is intended for women who have served in the United States Armed Forces, including Active Duty, National Guard, and Reserve components, regardless of branch, rank, era, or length of service.

Submitting a membership form does not create an employment, agency, fiduciary, contractual, or financial relationship between you and WVWV.

Membership is currently offered without membership dues. WVWV reserves the right to modify its membership structure, eligibility requirements, programs, or benefits in the future. Any material changes will be communicated when reasonably practical.

Participation in particular events or programs may be open to family members, volunteers, partners, supporters, or members of the broader community.

3. Age and Legal Capacity
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of agreeing to these Terms to submit a membership form, make a donation, or independently register for WVWV activities.

Minors may participate in specifically designated family-friendly activities only when accompanied by, and under the supervision of, a parent or legal guardian. The parent or guardian remains responsible for the minor’s safety, conduct, and participation.

4. Community Standards
WVWV is committed to maintaining a welcoming, respectful, and supportive community. When interacting with WVWV, you agree to:

  • Treat members, volunteers, partners, staff, and guests with dignity and respect

  • Refrain from harassment, intimidation, discrimination, threats, or abusive conduct

  • Respect personal boundaries and confidential information shared by others

  • Follow event rules, venue policies, and reasonable instructions from organizers

  • Avoid disrupting programs, events, or community activities

  • Accurately represent your identity, qualifications, and military affiliation

  • Use WVWV resources and communications only for lawful and appropriate purposes

  • Refrain from unauthorized solicitation, fundraising, political campaigning, or commercial promotion at WVWV activities

WVWV may deny, suspend, or end an individual’s participation or membership when reasonably necessary to protect the organization, its mission, or the safety and well-being of its community.

5. Website Use
You may use this website for lawful, personal, and informational purposes.
You may not:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website or related systems

  • Interfere with the website’s operation, security, or availability

  • Introduce malicious code, viruses, or harmful technology

  • Scrape, harvest, or collect information about other users without authorization

  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent an affiliation with WVWV

  • Use the website to distribute unlawful, misleading, defamatory, or harmful material

  • Copy or commercially exploit website content without permission

  • Use WVWV’s name, logo, or materials in a way that suggests unauthorized endorsement

We may restrict or discontinue access to any part of the website when reasonably necessary.

6. Events and Activities
WVWV may organize or promote social gatherings, volunteer projects, workshops, outdoor recreation, wellness activities, leadership programs, recognition events, and other community experiences.

Event dates, locations, capacity, eligibility, schedules, speakers, partners, and activities may change. WVWV may postpone, modify, relocate, or cancel an event due to weather, safety concerns, insufficient registration, venue changes, partner availability, or other circumstances.

Participants are responsible for:

  • Reviewing event details before registering

  • Providing accurate registration information

  • Determining whether an activity is appropriate for their personal circumstances

  • Arranging their own transportation unless otherwise stated

  • Following applicable venue and safety requirements

  • Informing organizers of relevant accessibility needs

  • Obtaining appropriate medical advice before participating in physical activities

Certain recreational, volunteer, wellness, travel, or outdoor activities may involve inherent risks. Separate acknowledgments, releases, or waivers may be required before participation. These Terms do not replace any event-specific agreement or waiver.

7. Assumption of Risk
To the extent permitted by law, you acknowledge that participation in in-person and virtual events may involve risks, including travel, physical activity, interaction with other participants, use of third-party venues, and circumstances beyond WVWV’s control.

You voluntarily assume the ordinary and inherent risks associated with activities in which you choose to participate.
If you have health, mobility, dietary, accessibility, or safety concerns, contact the event organizer before participating. WVWV does not provide medical advice or guarantee that every event will be appropriate for every individual.

8. Volunteer Activities
Volunteers may be asked to complete additional forms, training, background checks, confidentiality agreements, or activity-specific waivers depending on the role.

Unless expressly agreed to in writing, volunteering does not create an employment relationship and does not entitle a volunteer to wages, benefits, reimbursement, or other compensation.

Volunteers must follow WVWV policies, partner requirements, safety procedures, and reasonable instructions from authorized coordinators.

9. Donations
Donations support WVWV’s mission, programs, events, operations, and community activities.
By submitting a donation, you represent that:

  • You are authorized to use the selected payment method

  • The information you provide is accurate

  • The donation is voluntary

  • The funds are not derived from unlawful activity

  • The donation does not create ownership, control, or decision-making rights in WVWV

Donations are generally nonrefundable. If you believe a donation was processed incorrectly or without authorization, contact WVWV promptly at info@WestValleyWomenVeterans.org.

WVWV will review refund requests individually and may issue a refund when required by law or when WVWV determines that a refund is appropriate.

Donation processing may be handled by Wix Payments or another third-party payment provider. Additional terms and privacy practices imposed by that provider may apply.

Any statement concerning tax deductibility is subject to applicable law and the donor’s individual circumstances. Donors should consult a qualified tax professional for advice.

If recurring donations are offered, donors may cancel future payments through the method described during checkout or by contacting WVWV. Cancellation will not ordinarily reverse payments already processed.

10. Veteran Resources and Referrals
WVWV may provide links or referrals to government agencies, veteran service organizations, healthcare providers, benefits counselors, housing organizations, community programs, and other resources.
These resources are provided for general informational and referral purposes. WVWV does not guarantee:

  • Eligibility for a benefit, program, or service

  • The accuracy or continuing availability of third-party information

  • The quality, safety, or outcome of third-party services

  • Approval of a claim, application, appointment, or referral

  • The qualifications or conduct of an independent provider

Users should independently evaluate an organization before providing personal information or accepting services.
WVWV does not provide legal, medical, mental-health, financial, tax, benefits-adjudication, or emergency advice through this website.

If you are experiencing an emergency or believe someone is in immediate danger, call 911 or contact an appropriate emergency service.

11. Third-Party Websites and Partners
The website may link to third-party websites, social-media platforms, event services, payment providers, government agencies, sponsors, or community partners.

WVWV does not control and is not responsible for third-party content, availability, security, privacy practices, products, or services. Your interactions with a third party are governed by that party’s own terms and policies.

The inclusion of a link, logo, resource, or partner name does not necessarily constitute an endorsement of every statement, product, service, or activity offered by that organization.

12. No Government Endorsement
West Valley Women Veterans is an independent organization and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the United States Department of Defense, the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, or any other government agency.

References to military branches, government programs, public agencies, or veteran resources are provided for identification, education, or informational purposes only.

13. Email Communications
When you submit a form, WVWV may send transactional or administrative messages related to your request, membership, donation, event registration, or participation.

If you opt in to receive newsletters and updates, WVWV may send information about events, programs, volunteer opportunities, partnerships, fundraising, and community news.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the message. Unsubscribing from marketing messages will not prevent necessary transactional or administrative communications.

14. Photographs, Video, and Event Media
WVWV events may be photographed or recorded for community, archival, educational, promotional, or storytelling purposes.
When required or appropriate, WVWV may provide event notices or request additional consent. Certain events may require a separate photo or media release.

If you do not wish to be photographed, notify the event organizer when you arrive and make reasonable efforts to avoid designated photography areas. WVWV cannot guarantee exclusion from incidental crowd or background images at public events.

Questions or concerns about a published image may be submitted to info@WestValleyWomenVeterans.org.

15. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, WVWV owns or is authorized to use the website’s original text, graphics, designs, logos, photographs, videos, downloadable materials, and other content.

You may view and share links to publicly available pages for personal and noncommercial purposes. You may not reproduce, modify, publish, sell, license, distribute, or commercially exploit WVWV content without prior written permission.

Third-party names, logos, photographs, and materials remain the property of their respective owners.

16. Content Submitted to WVWV
If you voluntarily submit a testimonial, photograph, story, article, comment, or other material for possible publication, you represent that:

  • You own the material or have permission to submit it

  • The material does not violate another person’s rights

  • The information is accurate to the best of your knowledge

  • You have obtained permission from identifiable individuals where required

WVWV will obtain any additional permission reasonably required before intentionally publishing personal stories, testimonials, or identifiable submitted media.

17. Website Availability and Accuracy
WVWV works to provide accurate and useful information but does not guarantee that every page will always be complete, current, uninterrupted, or error-free.

Programs, event details, links, resources, leadership information, partner listings, and other website content may change without notice.

The website and its content are provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law.

18. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, WVWV disclaims warranties concerning the website and related content, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and noninfringement.

Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or protection that cannot legally be excluded.

19. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WVWV and its directors, officers, volunteers, representatives, and authorized partners will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages arising from:

  • Use of or inability to use the website

  • Reliance on website information

  • Participation in an event or activity

  • Conduct of another participant

  • Use of a third-party service or resource

  • Unauthorized access to information

  • Website interruptions, errors, or security incidents

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.

20. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless WVWV and its directors, officers, volunteers, and representatives from third-party claims, liabilities, losses, or expenses arising from your unlawful use of the website, violation of these Terms, misconduct at a WVWV activity, or infringement of another person’s rights.

This provision does not apply to the extent a claim results from WVWV’s own conduct for which liability cannot legally be excluded.

21. Privacy
Use of the website is also governed by the WVWV Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information.

If these Terms conflict with the Privacy Policy regarding the treatment of personal information, the Privacy Policy will control that issue.

22. Changes to These Terms
WVWV may revise these Terms to reflect changes in our website, programs, operations, technology, or legal obligations.
Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the website after an update constitutes acknowledgment of the revised Terms.

23. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Unless applicable law requires otherwise, disputes concerning these Terms or use of the website will be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction located in Maricopa County, Arizona.

24. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect. The unenforceable provision will be interpreted or modified only to the extent necessary to make it enforceable where permitted by law.

25. Entire Agreement
