Building Community Around the Table: Our First Family Dinner Night

At West Valley Women Veterans, many of our events are intentionally designed for women veterans, creating spaces where they can connect with others who share similar military experiences. Those connections are at the heart of our mission.

But we also know that community is stronger when we build it together.

That's why we were so excited to host our very first Family Dinner Night, bringing together not only the women in our community, but also the spouses, partners, children, family members, and friends who support them every day!

Family Dinner Night:

One of the best parts of the evening was seeing everyone put their phones away, share a meal, and simply enjoy great conversation. It was wonderful to watch families meet one another, children make new friends, and relationships begin to grow beyond our regular events.

Strong communities aren't built by individuals alone. They're built through genuine connection. When the important people in our lives know one another, our entire community becomes stronger, more welcoming, and better equipped to support one another through every season of life.

We are incredibly grateful to Cracker Barrel Old Country Store for hosting our first Family Dinner Night and to our generous community sponsor (who wished to remain anonymous) for making the evening possible by providing gift cards to cover dinner for 25 women veterans! Their support gave our women veterans and their families the opportunity to connect in a meaningful way, and we're thankful for their investment in our community.

Help Us Keep The Tradition Going!

Family Dinner Night is just the beginning.

We're looking for restaurants, businesses, community organizations, and sponsors who would like to partner with us to host or sponsor future Family Dinner Nights for women veterans and their families.

Whether you're interested in providing a venue, sponsoring meals, or supporting one of our family-focused events, your partnership helps create opportunities for connection, belonging, and lasting friendships.

If you'd like to host or sponsor a future Family Dinner Night, we'd love to hear from you. Together, we can continue building a community where women veterans and the people who stand beside them feel welcomed, connected, and supported.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our first Family Dinner Night. We can't wait to gather around the table again soon.

Ready to get involved?

Together, we can ensure every woman veteran knows she doesn't have to navigate life after military service alone. There is a community here that welcomes her, values her service, and stands beside her every step of the way.
